The theme was "The Hope of the Church for Today" and was focused on a study of the book of Colossians (Structure of Colossians). The conference got under way at 7:00 PM on Friday 2 Sept. and ran through 11:30 AM Sunday morning. We called this our first International Bible conference because we were privileged to have teachers from Canada, the United Kingdom as well as the United States. It is our sincere prayer that all in attendance were edified and challenged in their understand of the hope of the Church for today. We are looking forward to and planning next year's conference. |

Jeff Brown Jeff is the principal teacher at Grace Bible Church of Hampton Roads in Newport News, VA. He holds degrees (B.S. and M.S.) in Computer Science and is married to Dawn. They have three children, Abigail, Alison and Benjamin. By the age of 17, he was teaching in the non-denominational, Acts 2 church that he was brought up in. However, in the early 90's, a coworker gave him a copy of "Things That Differ" by C. R. Stam and his journey into "rightly dividing the word of truth" began. During the early 2000's, Jeff was introduced to the works of Charles. H. Welch. Jeff then began to understand the importance of the setting aside of Israel and the new revelation of THE MYSTERY to the apostle Paul. What a joy to know that the faithful of this dispensation have been blessed with "all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ"! |

He was home schooled by his Mother, who laid a solid foundation in the Scriptures. Just before heading off to college, he was introduced to a small home Bible study group in Michigan, where he began to see the truly unique characteristics of the Acts period as compared to both what came before it and The Mystery. revealed to Paul after its close. Being an electrical engineer by training and profession, Stefan really enjoys understanding the precise design of God's purposes and the revelation of them in His Word. |

Dan Cheek Dan was raised in an Acts 2 church, with no desire to question anything he was taught as he looked forward to Israel’s promises. When he went to college, an older believer took him under his wing and warned Dan of the dangers of Covenant Theology. Dan didn’t fully absorb these warnings at the time, but after college, Dan began to regularly attend Bible study and began to question things he had been taught before. Jeff Brown began to facilitate this Bible study, and eventually the group came to believe a mid-Acts theology. In 2000 Dan and Jeff started the Grace Bible Church of Hampton Roads, where Dan is the music director. Grace Bible Church has since embraced a Post Acts 28 theology. |
