Some special features unique to the Church which is His Body: |
|
(a) This church was chosen ‘before the foundation of the world’ (Eph.1:4)...
(b) This church finds its sphere of blessing ‘in heavenly places, far above all principality and power... seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus’ (Eph. 1:3,20,21; 2:6).
(c) This church is not an ‘evolution’, but a new ‘creation’, the peculiar advantage of being a Jew, even though a member of the church, having disappeared with the middle wall of partition (Eph. 2:14 -19).
(d) This church is the One Body of which Christ is the Head, and in which all members are equal (Eph. 1:22-23; 3:6), a relationship never before known |

Addendum: An additional feature, which is peculiar to the Church which is His Body, is that not only have we been buried with him and raised with him (Col 2:12) as were the Acts believers (Rom 6:3-4) but we have been seated with Him (Eph. 2:6) where He sits at God’s right hand (Eph. 1:20). It should be noticed that never, in any of the Acts Period books, were the believers told that such a privilege was theirs. It was not until the setting aside of the nation of Israel that this privilege was revealed. - Allen In his article titled "The Mystery in the Prison Epistles," Mr. Tom Ballinger points out that "The Church of the One Body is the only company and calling of God's redeemed that is said to be 'To the praise of the glory of His grace.'"
