Dr. Chuck Missler, Executive Director of Koinonia House, says that, “Nine out of ten pastors are confused about the interpretation of Genesis 6.” There are many reasons for this. Primary among the reasons for this confusion is that attempting to understanding Genesis 6 can be a complex endeavor; one that takes time and study. Additionally, what we discover can be a bit discomforting and seem contrary to orthodoxy. Despite the complexity of this topic, and the events recorded in Genesis 6, Dr Missler tells us that “understanding this chapter is foundational to understanding most of the rest of the Old Testament.”[1] Topics in this study: The Angels that Abandoned Their Original State Who are the Sons of God?
