We are a home-based, Bible-study focused church. Although we have nothing against traditional meeting places we find the home environment friendly, inviting, and conducive to a serious study of the Scriptures. While we practice the principle of right division, we believe that, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (2Tim. 3:16) Therefore we do not exclude any of the Word of God from our studies. We believe that “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2Ti m. 3:16). Therefore, we study the entire Bible. Typically, the Adult Sunday school teacher will teach an Old Testament book in the first hour of our Sunday morning meeting while Pastor Jeff Brown will teach a New Testament book in the second hour. We do not teach from the Bible. We teach the Bible! Our studies tend to focus on a verse-by-verse study of an entire book of the Bible. We make use of a variety of study tools such as lexicons, dictionaries, and commentaries to examine the words and concepts of the text. Our studies are informal and interactive. Everyone involved in the study has an opportunity to get their questions answered and to share the results of their personal study time.
